Volcanic Russia To Be Discovered On Longest Princess Cruise

Remote active volcanoes in Russia will be part of the itinerary for passengers embarking on a cruise holiday from Australia with Princess Cruises next year.
Superliner the Sun Princess is set to sail to the remote Russian port of Petropavlovsk as part of an "epic" 75-night journey around the Pacific Ocean.
The cruise liner departs from Sydney on July 14th 2008 and is the longest cruise ever offered from Australia, according to Princess Cruises, with passengers set to visit 29 ports.
"The rarely-visited port of Petropavlovsk will feature in the leg between San Francisco and Beijing. Volcanologists describe the icy-capped cone of Kronotsky near Petropavlovsk as the world’s most beautiful volcano," Princess Cruises notes.
The Kamchatka Peninsula is populated by less than one person per square kilometre and features 100,000 lakes, making this stop off a must for cruise holiday lovers who value their peace and quiet.
However for those who also like their solitude peppered with communal contact, the Sun Princess, which debuts this November, boasts eight restaurants and cafes, three pools, as well as seven lounges and bars.
