Theme cruises are increasing in popularity as more and more passengers opt to combine their hobbies and interests with their holidays, it has been claimed.
According to travel site Cruise Critic, themed voyages enable passengers to fulfil their dreams and desires, with cruise providers offering everything from dance holidays to craft cruises.
What’s more, theme cruises are proving particularly popular with groups, since the voyages are often scheduled during the quieter and cheaper months.
"From puffin-hunting in Norway to golfing in idyllic Scottish villages, and from nude river cruises to holistic wellness programmes, you can engage like never before during what might otherwise have been a fairly ordinary holiday," Cruise Critic stated.
Some of the theme cruises departing over the coming months include Celebrity’s Soap Cruise and Holland America Line’s poker-themed voyage.
A recent study by Abbey revealed that 15 million Britons are planning to take a holiday during the autumn and winter months.
