San Diego Launches First Year-round Cruise Programme

Carnival Cruises has this week announced the launch of the first all-year cruise holiday programme from the Port of San Diego.
With a rotating schedule of four and five-day cruises to Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada, you can book a journey on the Elation any time of the year.
The Elation joins the Carnival Spirit in the region, which currently offers passengers the option of an eight-day cruise of the Mexican Riviera.
Bob Dickinson, president and chief executive officer of Carnival Cruises, said: "The Elation’s one-of-a-kind schedule offers an exciting new alternative to this region, providing consumers with a high quality, affordable short cruise option."
He added that the company sees San Diego as a valued partner, with the firm excited about the prospect of brining new visitors to the city, which could include Britons on a fly cruise break.
San Diego, the seventh-largest city in the US, is also known by the moniker of "America’s Finest City" and lies just north of the border with Mexico.
