Passengers embarking on a world cruise onboard P&O’s Arcadia vessel were forced to delay their journey by a day while essential repair work was carried out on the ship.
Arcadia had been due to depart yesterday; however, it’s departure was delayed until this afternoon, CruiseCritic reports.
According to reports, passengers slept onboard the ship in Southampton, with all facilities open as usual.
However, as a gesture of goodwill, P&O said it will credit the onboard account of each passenger by £75 and the cost of any shore excursions affected by the delay.
The Arcadia is one of the most stylish vessels in the P&O fleet and exudes elegance, with over 3,000 artworks on display throughout the ship.
A child-free ship, Arcadia is home to many unique features including an outdoor glass lift, which offers spectacular ocean views.
