Wednesday, April 9th, 2008
All seven continents will be visited in the 2009-10 season by Princess Cruises, as it debuts its new World Cruise itinerary.
Sailings to Asia, Australia, Africa, South America as well as Canada and New England will be provided on ten Princess Cruises ships - including the newly named Ocean Princess, formerly Tahitian Princess.
"We know our passengers are explorers who revel in the opportunity to see some of the world’s exotic locales. So we’ve designed a full slate of itineraries to take them to all seven continents in the comfort of our wonderful ships," Jan Swartz, senior vice-president at the cruise line, commented.
Other changes made by Princess Cruises include a number of new port calls being introduced to the schedules of its cruise liners.
The 11 new ports are Muscat, the capital of Oman, Yangon, Qingdao, in China, Fukuoka in Japan, Phillip Island and Newcastle in Australia, the Caribbean island of Nevis and Topolobampo Mexico alongside Picton, New Zealand, Hanoi in Vietnam and Sharm el-Sheikh on the Red Sea Coast of Egypt.
