P&O Launch New Caribbean Sailings
Thursday, September 4th, 2008
P&O Cruises has announced plans to introduce two new sailings to the Caribbean.
The five-week cruises will begin in winter 2010 and depart from Southampton, according to TravelMole.
Commenting on the news, P&O Cruises’ managing director Nigel Esdale said the sailings from Southampton would offer British holidaymakers a relaxing way of escaping to warmer climes, without having to first take a flight to the US.
"Our expanding fleet means we can offer more variety and choice for our customers and we work closely with agents to ensure they understand the breadth of choice with the P&O Cruises product. This is in terms of deployment, destinations and length of holiday," he explained.
Mr Esdale added that P&O had cruise itineraries to suit every type of customer and claimed that the company’s current winter programme was its most varied yet.
Both of P&O’s new Caribbean sailings will take place onboard the Oriana.
Other vessels operated by P&O Cruises include the Arcadia, Aurora, and Ventura.
