P&O Announce Ventura Changes
Tuesday, November 18th, 2008
P&O Cruises has announced plans to make a series of changes to its new £300 million Ventura vessel.
Following the ship’s introductory season, P&O has made the decision to alter dining arrangements onboard and create more space for sun longers, TravelMole
reports.
In a letter to travel agents, Mr Esdale, the company’s managing director, said there had been particularly heavy demand for the freedom dining option and said that additional tables would be added to the Cinnamon Restaurant.
"More significantly though, passengers will no longer need to book a table in advance. Instead they can enjoy the ultimate freedom of arriving at the time they would like to dine and, where possible, they will be seated immediately," he said.
In addition, an area on deck 19 will be made into a sunbathing space and reclining chairs will be added to cabin balconies.
Christened by Dame Helen Mirren in April of this year, the Ventura features a two-deck theatre, a health spa and a rock school for teenagers.
