Ocean Village Wins Travelmole Award
Wednesday, May 30th, 2007
Ocean Village Cruises has announced that it has been recognised at the Travelmole Awards - with the company picking up the gong for the top cruise and ferry website.
With the numbers of sites involved in the contest whittled down from 1,400 over 13 categories, the recently relaunched website beat competitor Royal Caribbean Cruises to the prize at a ceremony at the Canadian High Commission.
Gill Haynes, head of marketing communications at Ocean Village Cruises, said: "We are chuffed to bits to be adding this award to our trophy cabinet."
She added that the aim of the company was to bring a younger audience onboard to enjoy more casual cruise holidays, with the newly-redesigned site giving the firm "a fresh shot of adrenaline" to help reach this goal.
The Ocean Village Cruises website offers a range of features for those looking up information before booking a cruise holiday with their travel agent, including deck plans, room descriptions and accounts of onshore activities for those on a cruise and stay break.
Virgin Holidays Cruises are leader's in Caribbean cruises, Mediterranean cruises and cruise & stay holidays.
