Maximum Living Space Result Of New NCL Design
Monday, July 21st, 2008
A number of new design features aimed at maximising living space are to be incorporated into the architecture of some of the ships that will join the fleet of the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL).
The cruise operator has a number of F3-class vessels under development and cabins are to be separated by waving lines, which help them to fit together more easily and make full use of the space available on board.
As a result there will be enough room for good-sized shower and toilet areas in each cabin on the cruise ships set to be delivered to NCL in the early part of 2010, the Chicago Tribune reports.
In addition to space saving, the architects enlisted by NCL to design its new boasts are also making room for a Nordic-style ice bar inspired by those becoming increasingly popular on dry land in various parts of Scandinavia.
Meanwhile, the Miami Herald recently reported on the visit of the NCL vessel Norwegian Sky as it sailed into south Florida earlier this month.
