Klass Act Expected For Carnival Splendor Launch

New details of the schedule for the naming ceremony for new Carnival Cruises vessel Carnival Splendor have been revealed.
According to Travel Mole, singer and model Myleene Klass will receive help from Royal Navy divers when she names Carnival Splendor in Dover next week.
The ceremony is due to take place on July 10th when two Royal Navy divers will shin up the bow of the 113,000-tonne vessel, climbing 60-feet to reach the ship’s name, at which point a bottle of fizz will be smashed at the command of the ship’s godmother, Klass.
" Carnival Splendor is a wonderful addition to our fleet, offering an array of innovative amenities and facilities, including specifically designed areas catering to different guests," Gerry Cahill, president of Carnival Cruises, commented.
Instead of traditional Champagne, vintage Nyetimber English sparkling wine has been selected for the ceremony as Carnival Splendor is being launched in Britain.
