HSBC Customers Win Cruise

A Maltese couple has won a cruise holiday’ after entering a competition with global banking group HSBC.

Thanks to the financial services company’s Flying Start contest, Anthony Sammut and his wife will be setting sail shortly on their once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Caribbean on a top-class cruise liner.

According to the Malta Independent, the married couple from Birkirkara won their dream holiday after being entered for the draw following the purchase of a financial product from the bank.

"We congratulate the winners and wish them a truly enjoyable trip abroad," remarked Ray Briffa, head of branch banking at HSBC Malta.

Caribbean cruises’enable holidaymakers to experience any number of paradise settings such as Grenada, Dominica, St Lucia, Punta Cana, Martinique and Aruba.

While tourists currently visiting the picturesque destinations have been making the most of the carnival atmosphere on islands including Antigua and Jamaica as they play host to the cricket world cup.

Figures from the Passenger Shipping Association recently revealed that the number of British holidaymakers embarking on a cruise holiday’ has doubled in the past ten years, reported the Guardian.
