Holland America Opens New Food Centre

Holland America Line has opened a new culinary training centre for its staff.
Located in Manilla, the facility will be used to train staff in order to ensure that the cruise line’s high standards are maintained.
Richard D Meadows, executive vice president of marketing, sales and guest programmes, said Holland America was renowned for its spectacular food presentations and stylish dining rooms.
"Our new culinary training program in Manila will ensure that our culinary and beverage staff continues to raise the bar as we provide outstanding meals and service to our guests," he commented.
The programme is overseen by one of the cruise line’s former hotel managers and students will be learn about all of Holland America’s restaurants, from the Pinnacle Grill to Tarmarind.
Holland America Line’s fleet comprises 15 ships, including the ms Noordam and ms Eurodam.
