Holland America Line has announced plans to make major enhancements to five of its vessels.
Speaking earlier this week, the luxury cruise provider said that it would invest $200 million (£112 million) in upgrading five of its ships, as part of the cruise line’s ongoing "Signature of Excellence" initiative.
Over the next two years, vessels including the ms Ryndam and ms Rotterdam will undergo a transformation that will include new staterooms, venues and pools, Cruise Talk Central reports.
Holland America Line has so far committed over $500 million to improving its fleet and claims that it is committed to enhancing guest experiences.
Commenting on the upgrades, Richard Meadows, executive vice president of sales, marketing and guest services, said: "This significant and continued investment reaffirms our commitment to our fleet of mid-sized ships and our ongoing leadership in the premium category by continually raising the bar in terms of products and services."
Other vessels currently operated by the Holland America Line include the ms Maasdam, ms Veendam and ms Zaandam.
