Holland America Line Launches Scandinavian Cruises

Luxury cruise provider Holland America Line has announced plans offer two new Scandinavian itineraries.
Launching in July 2009, the sailings will last for six days and depart from the Netherlands, taking in several countries including Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
Richard D Meadows, executive vice president of marketing, sales and guest programmes at the cruise line, commented: "These new six-day cruises are perfect for the traveler who wants a shorter premium vacation and to discover some of Scandinavia’s most beautiful and memorable towns and seascapes."
He added that Holland America Line was "thrilled" to be operating sailings from the "magnificent" port of Rotterdam.
In related news, the cruise line recently announced pans to carry out major enhancements to five of its ships.
According to Cruise Talk Central, Holland America Line is planning to spend more than $200 million on the enhancements.
