Holland America Line Introduces Alaska Express Tours
Wednesday, November 5th, 2008
Holland America Line has announced plans to introduce a new range of express tours for those travelling to Alaska.
The tours have been specially designed for passengers looking to combine a week-long cruise of the region with a two or three night stay inland.
Explaining the concept behind the new tours, Richard D Meadows, executive vice president of marketing, sales and guest programmes at the cruise line, said: "The express tours are for our guests who don’t have enough time to do a full cruise tour but still want to experience Alaska’s interior. These six tours are an incredible value."
The tours will enable guests to experience the beauty and vastness of the state, Mr Meadows added.
Each tour will feature a seven-day cruise between Seward and Vancouver, with ports of call in Juneau, Ketchikan and either Haines or Skagway.
Holland America Line has been providing cruises to Alaska for over 60 years now.
Meanwhile, for those who prefer warmer climes, the cruise line also offers voyages to destinations including the Caribbean, Mexico and the Panama Canal.
