Thursday, September 4th, 2008
Holland America Line has announced plans to introduce a new entertainment programme across five of its ships.
The cruise provider says it is making the changes as part of its $200 million (£112 million), Signature of Excellence investment programme.
Enhancements will include new music programmes, more entertainment activities and the installation of state-of-the-art video game rooms, Cruise Talk Central reported.
Commenting on the planned improvements, Richard Meadows, vice president of marketing, sales and guest programmes at Holland America Line, said: "The new offerings and entertainment initiatives are designed to be even more compelling and relevant to today’s premium cruiser.
"These enhancements will allow us to offer more venues and more choices to our guests."
Work on the ms Statendam, ms Maasdam, ms Ryndam, ms Veendam and ms Rotterdam will begin in June 2009 and as well as enhancements to the ships entertainment areas, a number of upgrades will also be made to staterooms onboard the vessels.
