Holland America Cruises has announced its shore excursions for its CruiseTours voyages to Alaska for 2008, with passengers set to explore a host of natural wonders and enjoy a range of shore excursions in the wilderness.
Guests can choose from 29 Alaskan cruise itineraries, ranging from 10 to 20 days in length, with Holland America Cruises offering a combination of land tours boasting culture, history and wildlife with a unique trip to the state’s Inside Passage.
Richard D Meadows, executive vice president of marketing, sales, and guest programs at Holland America cruises, said: "We take guests to scenic national parks and recognized wilderness areas and we design optional excursions to let them fully experience the adventure while they are here."
He added that options for Alaskan cruise passengers include helicopter flight-seeing in the Denali National Park with a glacier landing, self-drive jeep tours, fishing in the Ketchikan and more.
In July 2007, Holland America Cruises reported that its passengers have eaten a total of 1.3 million pounds of wild Alaskan seafood in 2007 alone.
