Holidaymakers travelling with Carnival Cruises may soon find they are experiencing even more fun than they had anticipated.
A brand new aqua park featuring an adults-only area in addition to a mammoth 300-foot-long waterslide will be built on Carnival Fantasy when the ship is dry docked later this year.
The 300-foot-long corkscrew waterslide is reported to be the longest at sea.
The pool area will also include a redesigned resort-style main pool area, representing the second phase of the cruise line’s Evolutions of Fun programme.
"Carnival Fantasy - already a fantastic cruise vacation option from New Orleans, one of America’s great cities - will be even better following the implementation of our incredible new Evolutions of Fun features," Ruben Rodriguez, Carnival Cruises’ executive vice-president of marketing and guest experience commented.
Carnival Fantasy operates a number of four and five day western Caribbean cruises from New Orleans.
