Ahead of planned construction work to lengthen its Balmoral liner, Fred Olsen Cruises has published its deck plans for the refurbished vessel.
When it is redelivered in November 2007, the ship will be 30 metres longer and have its passenger capacity increased by 350 to 1,340.
For those of planning a cruise holiday on the Balmoral in 2008 or beyond, Fred Olsen Cruises has presented the new deck plans for the vessel, which include updated cabin layouts on the Marquee, Lido, Lounge, Marina, Horizon and other decks, in addition to increased public spaces.
The ship is currently on-track for its inaugural activities in Dover due to take place on January 23rd 2008, with its early plans including a two-week Canary Islands voyage followed by a number of Caribbean cruise setting sail from Miami.
Last month, Fred Olsen Cruises announced further refurbishment work to its fleet, reporting plans to carry out a 31.2-metre extension to the Braemar, increasing its capacity by 250 and adding a bar based around the concept of a traditional British pub.
