Fred Olsen Cruises has announced the launch of its international cruise holiday brochure for the 2008-09 holiday season, with the firm offering a range of new trips for passengers.
Highlights in this year’s catalogue include the two epic world cruises, with the Black Watch taking a 97-night trip and the Balmoral entertaining holidaymakers on a mammoth 104-night voyage.
Travellers on the Balmoral can also enjoy a Mediterranean cruise, while the Braemar will also entertain passengers on a fly cruise break based in Civitavecchia, Rome.
If you are more interested in a Caribbean cruise, the Boudicca will be taking holidaymakers on voyages in the region from November 2008 to April 2009, after its first regional cruise programme the preceding summer setting sail from Leith and Newcastle.
Passengers interested in a fly cruise break will have increased flexibility in choosing their airport with a range of regional hubs from Belfast to Teeside joining Gatwick and Manchester as starting points for a break, bringing the number available to 21.
In total, Fred Olsen Cruises will be offering trips to 116 countries worldwide, taking in 306 ports of call, 21 of which are new to the company.
Exotic new ports you can visit with the company on their 2008-09 cruise programme include Shanghai, Tianjin and Xingang in China, Kagoshima and Yokahama in Japan, Chennai in India and Icheon in South Korea, alongside new ports in the US, Canada and Russia.
Lol Nichols, general sales manager for Fred Olsen Cruises, said: "The extension of our fleet has allowed us much more scope for innovative cruises and itineraries.
"We can offer more long cruises and a host of new ports of call with the increased capacity at our disposal."
He added that the increased number of vessels combined with the broader range of regional airports for those on a fly cruise break have combined to make the forthcoming 2008-09 cruise holiday brochure the most exciting ever to be published by the firm.
Fred Olsen Cruises reports that its "fantastic five" liners - the Black Prince, Black Watch, Boudicca, Braemar and newly-built Balmoral - are distinctive vessels that offer a personal voyage putting the passenger at the heart of the cruise experience.
