Fred Olsen Cruises has announced its new cruise programmes for the 2008-09 season, with the highlights including the choice of two epic cruise holidays that promise to astound and amaze.
The first is a 97-night trip embarking from Southampton for a journey taking in all the delights of a Caribbean cruise, together with visits to destinations as varied as the Canary Islands, Australia and South Africa, among others.
If this trip doesn’t take your fancy, you can instead opt for a 104-night cruise on the Balmoral, which will head north from Dover on Valentine’s Day towards Lisbon, before heading off to Egypt before exploring the exotic Vietnam, Japan and China.
The Balmoral will then continue its voyage in North America, with an Alaskan cruise followed by a tour of the US before a trip back through Mexico and the Caribbean.
Lol Nichols, general sales manager at Fred Olsen Cruises, said: "The extension of our fleet has allowed us much more scope for innovative cruises and itineraries.
"We can offer more long cruises and a host of new ports of call with the increased capacity at our disposal."
In April 2007, Fred Olsen Cruises announced a lengthening of the Balmoral by approximately 30 metres in order to increase its passenger capacity.
