Wednesday, October 17th, 2007
Those who prefer their cruise holidays to be shaken and not stirred will no doubt be delighted to know that the Commodore Club on Queen Victoria is nearing completion.
Cunard Cruises reports that cruisers can enjoy retreating to the club and sipping martinis that are shaken at their tableside, if they opt for a cruise holiday on the company’s latest liner.
The club has been designed to a nautical theme which also fuses with an "old world liner elegance", according to Cunard Cruises, and is likely to appeal to fans of more formal cruises.
"Sweeping views over the ship’s bow, murals of past Cunard liners in custom porthole displays and two intricate ship models at the entrance - these are just some of the highlights of Queen Victoria’s Commodore Club," Cunard Cruises notes.
Those fond of luxury cruises are also likely to be impressed by the Commodore Club, which is said to evoke "the golden age of ocean travel".
Queen Victoria is due to set sail on her maiden voyage this December.
