Divine Intervention For Floundering Migrants
Rather than churn out cruise news in a rather bland way we've decided to discontinue the news in this format and use our cruise blog to cover any newsworthy events.

An incident in which a number of refugees were rescued from the sea thanks to the eagle eyes of a passenger onboard a Carnival Cruise ship has been chalked up to "divine intervention".
The Times Tribune notes that short-sighted passenger John Mullins claims to rarely wear his glasses, however this weekend he was wearing them while eating dinner onboard Valor, a Carnival Cruises ship.
The help from above reportedly came as he spotted a flashing light in the distance and alerted a member of staff once he realised the flashing light was actually people in the ocean.
The ship then turned to help the floundering people on a small raft and the coast guard services were alerted. The rescue took roughly an hour and passengers threw bottles of water to the stranded people, believed to be Cuban migrants.
"About the time they got there, it was starting to become a big storm - rain, waves, I had my doubts about if they’d survive it. Of course, I don’t know too much about these little boats. I wouldn’t have wanted to have been in it, that’s for sure," Mr Mullins told the publication.
He added that he tries to take a cruise holiday each year and this was a highlight in his trip.
