Cunard Line has announced that its two luxury vessels – the Queen Mary II and Queen Victoria – will set sail on world cruises in January 2010.
The Queen Mary II will take a new east-west route, calling at 19 maiden ports, with overnight stays in Hong Kong, Sydney and Cape Town.
Meanwhile, the Queen Victoria will depart on a 99-day voyage, with 11 maiden ports of call and overnight stays in Dubai, Sydney and Hong Kong.
Commenting on the news, Carol Marlow, president of Cunard Line, said: "On this pair of epic voyages, Cunard continues a storied tradition that began nearly 90 years ago.
"In 2010, Queen Mary II and Queen Victoria will visit a combined 31 countries, 57 ports and 30 maiden calls, continuing our legacy of impeccable White Star Service, fine dining and unrivaled accommodations."
For those new to cruising and eager to try a holiday at sea, the Cunard Line also offers a number of segment voyages.
In related news, a poll by Cruise Critic last week named Cunard’s Queen Victoria as one of Britain’s favourite cruise ships, with passengers impressed by the ship’s traditional elegance and stylish décor.
