When it comes to cruising holidays, the Caribbean comes top of the list, a new report has shown.
Information released b the Cruise Lines International Association revealed the rising popularity of the Caribbean and also the fact that parents are increasingly taking children for a holiday at sea, the Associated Press reports.
The survey showed a large number of holidaymakers who have never enjoyed a cruise were planning on undertaking one within the next three years.
However, the research revealed many cruise firms are avoiding ports which are further away in order to save fuel costs.
Carolyn Spencer Brown, editor-in-chief of CruiseCritic.com, told the news source: "You’re seeing a lot less of the real exotic types of itineraries that require more sea time because it’s so expensive."
Recently, the Cruise Lines International Association urged those planning a holiday to remember cruises can fit a range of different budgets.
