Cruise Ships Increasingly Popular For Weddings And Honeymoons

Furthermore, according to the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), cruise companies are responding to the increased activity in this sector and catering to the niche through the addition of couple-friendly features on their cruises.
Wedding, honeymoon and vow renewal packages are offered by a number of cruise lines include candle-lit wedding chapels, photographers, bridal bouquets, wedding cake and champagne toasts with keepsake flutes, CLIA reports.
"Cruise vacations are unquestionably proving more and more popular with honeymoon and wedding couples of all ages, including second-marriage couples," commented Terry L Dale, president of CLIA.
"Because cruises are, by nature, virtually all-inclusive, they offer an incredibly convenient way in which to celebrate a wedding, honeymoon or vow renewal - or simply reconnect and revitalise romantic relationships."
Cruise lines offering wedding perks include Celebrity, Cunard, Royal Caribbean,Costa, Norwegian and Princess - which employs wedding planners.
It was recently announced that Princess Cruises is opening a Department of Romance in celebration of an art that it considers "integral" to passengers experiences on their cruises.
