The amount of entertainment offered onboard cruise ships is "just right", according to the majority of passengers.
A recent survey by Cruise Critic found that 76 per cent of people are happy with the level of entertainment offered by cruise providers, with just 17 per cent of passengers claiming that there is too much choice.
Of those questioned, 54 per cent said that they consider the entertainment on offer before booking their cruise holiday.
Commenting on the findings, Cruise Critic editor-in-chief Carolyn Spencer Brown said: "The cruise companies put a lot of money and effort into providing entertainment for their passengers and it is interesting to note how important this has become as a selection criteria, especially among the Brits."
Furthermore, the study found that comedians are the most popular onboard entertainers, with 54 per cent of passengers happy to spend their evening listening to jokes.
Cruise Critic recently reported that the number of Britons taking a cruise holiday this year is likely to be 14 per cent higher than in 2007.
