P&O Cruises has revealed that telephone enquiries about its new super liner Pacific Dawn has pushed interest in the company’s cruises "through the roof".
According to the cruise line, its call centre took 3,000 calls in one day from customers interested in cruise offers - a 30 per cent increase on average daily calls.
Chief executive officer Ann Sherry attributes the growth in interest in cruise holidays to increased marketing around Pacific Dawn.
"We are very excited about the arrival of Pacific Dawn and passengers’ interest in the super liner is helping push enquiries through the roof," Ms Sherry commented.
The latest cruise ship boasts nine decks and comes complete with a three-storey atrium foyer, jogging track, casino, selection of bars, two restaurants, whirlpool spas and duty-free shopping facilities.
Pacific Dawn departs on its maiden voyage from Sydney on November 9th.
