Costa Cruises To Screen Euro 2008 Matches

Rather than churn out cruise news in a rather bland way we've decided to discontinue the news in this format and use our cruise blog to cover any newsworthy events.

Costa Cruises to screen Euro 2008 matches
Costa Cruises has announced that it plans to screen all the matches in the Euro 2008 football tournament on board its fleet.

The two flagships, the Costa Serena and Costa Concordia, will broadcast the matches on 18 metre square screens on the central decks with a seating capacity of thousands.

Fans will also be able to see the games on the twelve other ships in the fleet with plasma screens in the bar screening the event.

Euro 2008 will be played in Austria and Switzerland and starts on June 7th.

Costa Cruises is part of the Italian company Costa Crociere S.P.A, which is based in Genoa and operates ships in the Mediterranean, northern Europe, the Baltic Sea, Central America, the Caribbean, South America, the United Arab Emirates, the Far East and the Indian Ocean.

In 2007, Costa Cruises carried 1.1 million passengers and has 12 ships with a capacity of 23,000 guests
