A full-scale search is underway for a Carnival Cruise Lines crew member who fell overboard last week.
The male worker was seen falling from the ship on New Year’s Day by a number of his fellow workers, Travel Weekly reports.
A spokesman for the cruise line said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with this young man at this time as well as his friends and family.”
The incident took place onboard the Carnival Sensation, which was cruising around 20 miles off the coast of Florida at the time, having departed Port Canaveral earlier in the week.
In related news, the US Coast Guard last week called off a search for missing cruise passenger Jennifer Seitz, who fell from the Norwegian Pearl on Christmas night.
Ms Seitz had been holidaying with her husband when she fell overboard into waters off the coast of Mexico.
