Celebrity Cruises Returns To Bermuda
Tuesday, November 25th, 2008
Celebrity Cruises has announced plans to begin offering Bermuda itineraries again from 2010.
The cruise line said it was responding to demand from its passengers who are eager to see the destination returned to Celebrity’s itineraries.
Commenting on the announcement, Celebrity Cruises’ president and chief executive Dan Hanrahan said: "Celebrity has a long and positive history with the beautiful island of Bermuda, and we’re thrilled to respond to demand that we return, from our longtime guests and travel agent partners alike."
From 2010 the Celebrity Summit will be moved to Cape Liberty, New Jersey, where it will offer a series of seven-night sailings to Bermuda.
Meanwhile, it was announced earlier this month that from 2010 the Celebrity Eclipse will be based in Southampton.
Mr Hanrahan said he was confident that basing the ship in England would help to maximise the potential of the UK and Irish market.
