Rather than churn out cruise news in a rather bland way we've decided to discontinue the news in this format and use our cruise blog to cover any newsworthy events.

Carnival Cruises has updated its onboard programme in order to highlight the culture and traditions of one of its more exotic destinations, Hawaii.
Passengers travelling onboard Carnival Cruises ships will be able to learn about the natural history and Hawaiian customs from a series of guest lecturers.
Other activities taking place onboard include a hula show by students of a respected Hawaiian school, which may appeal to those on a family cruise who have children.
"We wanted to give our passengers an array of opportunities to connect with the rich culture of the islands, whether they’re on shore or aboard our ships. We’re delighted that we’ve created new ways to showcase the special Hawaiian experience," commented Jan Swartz, Princess’ senior vice president of customer service.
Meanwhile local craftsmen will demonstrate traditional skills such as bone carving and shell lei construction.
Traditional Hawaiian fare will be available to eat while onshore activities will include visits to iconic locations like Pearl Harbor, Kilauea Volcano and Maui’s Haleakala Crater.
