Carnival Splendor - A Young Persons Ship
Thursday, July 31st, 2008
Carnival Cruise’s latest addition to its fleet has been given an endorsement that will please everybody involved in its recent launch.
A review in the Telegraph has described the new vessel as being perfectly pitched for its younger market.
"I would not recommend Splendor to Olsen’s 60-year-old-plus passengers. This is a young person’s ship - great for 40-somethings and families with kids and teens," said the newspaper’s Jane Archer.
The reviewer was particularly impressed by the food served up at the wok bar, where guests pile their chosen ingredients into a bowl and watch them sizzle as they wait.
She also heaped praise on the Pinnacle Grill steakhouse and hailed the "great facilities" for children and teens.
Perhaps the Carnival Splendor could be a good holiday choice for parents, given the findings of one recent poll.
Ocean Village quizzed kids and found that 28 per cent find traditional holidays boring.
