Carnival Splendor For Family Cruises

Carnival Cruises is promoting its "fun ship" Carnival Splendor as the "ultimate" ship for family cruise holidays.

The cruise line notes that the new cruise ship is stocked with numerous facilities and activities that are perfect for children of all ages.

Among these child-friendly features are a water spray park and a 5,500-square-foot children’s play area.

"As the largest fun ship ever constructed, Carnival Splendor provides a huge canvas to create some truly exciting spaces to entertain kids of all ages while further bolstering Carnival’s distinction as the family cruise leader," Lynn C Torrent, senior vice-president of sales and guest services at Carnival Cruises, enthused.

The play area - which is 30 per cent larger than play areas on all other Carnival Cruises ships - features a dance floor, a puzzle room, computer gaming consoles and a plasma screen television.

Carnival Splendor is set to debut the first-ever Carnival Cruises 12-day northern Europe cruise programme from Dover on July 13th 2008.
