A new fly-cruise programme from Carnival UK is to launch in the winter season offering holidaymakers the chance to join up with liners such as Princess Cruises’ Sea Princess.
The firm will run the service from Cardiff International Airport in the winter season at the end of this year, reports Travel Trade Gazette.
Both Princess Cruises’ Sea Princess and P&O Cruises’ Ventura and Oceana liners will be accessible to the link-up between November 6th and April 3rd.
And it could mean that more people will be travelling on cruise holidays in 2009, despite the recession in the UK.
The news comes after the Cruise Lines International Association predicted that 13.5 million people will take a cruise holiday this year.
Cruise journeys to Jamaica and Mexico are new additions to feature on Carnival UK’s fly-cruise programme next winter.
Sales director Giles Hawke told the news provider: "We have great customer demand in the Cardiff area and are keen to provide the best range of departures from the local airport for these customers."
