Carnival Cruises’ latest vessel floated out of the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy earlier this week to enter the next phase of its construction.
The 130,000-ton Carnival Dream is due to enter service next year and is now enroute to a wet dock facility, where work on the ship can continue.
Capable of carrying 3,646 passengers, the Carnival Dream will feature an exciting range of new and innovative facilities and will become the largest ship in Carnival’s ‘fun ship’ fleet.
The ship will house a Carnival WaterWorks aqua park, exclusive spa and an elaborate health and wellness centre.
Carnival Dream is due to depart on her first voyage on September 21st 2009, with a 12-day Mediterranean sailing from Rome.
Other vessels in the fun ship fleet include the Carnival Destiny and Carnival Paradise.
