Carnival Cruises has been celebrating winning nine accolades from the Porthole Cruise Magazine Readers’ Choice awards.
The cruise line swept up a number of awards for its entertainment and onboard offerings, as well as grabbing the best megaship title for Carnival Liberty.
Carnival Cruises won awards for best children’s programmes; best value-for-money; best short-duration cruise; best shore excursions; best onboard activities; best main dining room cuisine; best entertainment and best party line.
"Carnival is constantly striving to deliver truly memorable vacations for our guests in every aspect of their cruise experience and these awards are not only an honour but an affirmation of those efforts," said Vicki Freed, Carnival’s senior vice-president of sales and guest services.
The awards were first established in 1999, with Carnival bringing the total number it has received to 92 following the collection of nine accolades at the 2007 edition of the awards.
Founded in 1972, the Carnival corporation as a whole now operates 84 ships across its different brands, according to its website.
