People are increasingly researching their ideal cruise holiday with Carnival Cruises by using a number of online resources, it has been revealed.
Three web-based facilities operated by the cruise line - John Heald’s Blog, CarnivalConnections and FunShipIsland - have attracted over one million visitors in the last few months.
John Heald’s Blog provides readers with a unique commentary on day-to-day ship life complete with tales from crew members and passengers, while FunShipIsland offers travellers the ability to play online in a virtual casino and ride the Twister waterslide.
Meanwhile, customers using the CarnivalConnections site can plan their Fun Ship cruise holidays online using an electronic tool to invite family and friends.
"Cruising is still an unfamiliar experience to many and these new web-based efforts boldly take the promotion of the Fun Ship cruise experience to new levels, one that provides visitors with a unique look at our company and products while offering helpful tools for researching and planning their vacations," Vicki Freed, senior vice-president of sales and guest services at Carnival Cruises commented.
Carnival Cruises Fun Ship fleet includes Carnival Conquest, a 110,000-tonne cruise liner complete with a spa and a casino.
