Carnival Cruise Lines To Offer A Record Number Of Excursions
Friday, May 16th, 2008
Cruise holiday specialist Carnival has announced a record number of shore excursion options for passengers this year.
Over 1,982 on-land trips will be available to passengers on Carnival Cruises, across its 114 destination ports - a figure which the company is predicting will boost online shore excursion booking to past the one million mark this year, earthtimes.org reports.
Carnival’s Vice President of Tour Operations Mico Cascais is quoted as saying: "Consumers are looking for unique shore excursion choices that allow them to get an ‘up close and personal’ look at fascinating cultures and attractions."
He added that by booking their on-shore excursions before they travelled, customers on cruise holidays could be sure of getting the most out of their time in port.
Shore experiences for customers on one of Carnival Cruises 22 ships can include deep-sea fishing at Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas, beach horseback riding at Costa Maya in Mexico and a fjord sightseeing trip on a floatplane in Ketchikan, Alaska.
