Carnival Cruises has announced that it is to re-brand its Fantasy class ships following its recent quarter of a billion dollar ship-refurbishment programme.
The eight Evolutions of Fun vessels will all have the Carnival name as a prefix, followed by their own distinctive title that seeks to convey a sense of joy you can experience on a cruise holiday.
Dubbed the Carnival Ecstasy, Elation, Fascination, Fantasy, Imagination, Inspiration, Paradise and Sensation, the Fantasy-class ships are currently being renamed at the same time as receiving other improvements, including the installation of a Serenity area for those on adult-only cruises.
Bob Dickinson, president and chief executive officer of Carnival Cruises, said: "As each of our Fantasy-class ships undergoes transformation to incorporate the wide-ranging enhancements under the Evolutions of Fun initiative, it is only fitting that those vessels be re-branded to better align them with our other ships."
With upgrade plans due for completion by 2009, the ships are also set to incorporate flat-screen televisions in staterooms, miniature golf courses, modernised sound and lighting features and new photographic galleries.
Carnival Cruises offers you four types of staterooms, with the option of suites, ocean view, balcony and interior accommodation.
