Britons Cruise Through The Recession

Britons cruise through the recession
An overwhelming majority of regular cruisers say that despite the credit crunch, it will be business as usual this year.

In a recent survey of 2,000 travellers, just 13 per cent said they would not be taking a cruise over the coming year.

Of those surveyed, 23 per cent said their cruise plans has been completely unaffected by the credit crunch.

Other passengers said they intended to do the same amount of travelling, but would look at ways to cut costs.

The poll, which was carried out by Cruise Critic, found that 32 per cent of people will be looking for a departure close to home and 26 per cent said they were hoping to book a last-minute deal, TravelMole reports.

In related news, a recent study by P&O Cruises revealed that the cost of holidaying at sea is already much cheaper than it was a decade ago.
